Please ensure that you read the following Terms & Conditions carefully. By paying for and hiring any item(s) from Morepork BBQ Limited (“Morepork BBQ”), you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below.

1. Ownership

All hired equipment, furniture, and items remain the property of Morepork BBQ at all times.
The hirer is responsible for all items from the moment they are collected until they are returned and checked back in by Morepork BBQ. This includes any damage, loss, or breakage during the hire period.

2. Pricing

All prices are exclusive of GST. GST will be added to your final invoice. Hire prices are for self pick-up and drop-off only. Morepork BBQ does not offer delivery, set-up, or collection services.

3. Deposit & Payment

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the agreed pick-up date. Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received in full.

4. Bond

A $500 bond is required for all hires and will be held to cover any damage, excessive cleaning, or repair costs. This bond does not cover loss or replacement of items. Your bond will only be charged if repairs, cleaning, or replacements are required. Any deductions will be discussed with you before being processed.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the hire date: the 25% deposit is refundable. Cancellations made within 7 days of the hire date: no refund of hire fees will be given. Changes to hire items are accepted within reason; however, removing items within 14 Days of the event may result in the loss of the 25% deposit for those items.

6. Hire Period

Standard hire is for a 4-day period. Extensions may be possible upon request and must be agreed in writing before the hire begins. If items are not returned within the agreed period, late fees may apply. These are charged per day and may include compensation for lost future bookings.

7. Pick-Up & Drop-Off

All hires are self pick-up and drop-off only from our designated location. We are not offering delivery services. The hirer must ensure: Items are handled carefully, securely loaded, and adequately tied down. Items remain protected from weather and kept dry during transport and storage. Items are returned during agreed hours and in the same condition they were collected. Morepork BBQ reserves the right to refuse release of items if, in our opinion, the transport provided is unsuitable or unsafe.

8. Condition of Hire Items

All items are inspected, clean, and in good working condition before hire. Items must be returned: Clean and free from dirt, food, stains, or candle wax. Dry and in the same condition as supplied. If items are returned dirty, wet, or damaged, cleaning or repair costs will be charged and deducted from the bond. If items are lost, stolen, or beyond repair, full replacement costs will apply. Replacement value is based on the current retail price of the item(s) plus any loss of potential future hires.

9. Responsibility & Liability

The hirer is fully responsible for the safety, care, and proper use of all hired items. Morepork BBQ takes no responsibility for any: Injury, accident, or damage to persons or property arising from the use of hire items. Damage caused by improper use, overloading, weather exposure, or neglect. The hirer must ensure that all persons using the equipment are aware of and act with reasonable care.

10. Damage, Loss, and Replacement If damage occurs:

The hirer must notify Morepork BBQ immediately. Repair costs will be fairly assessed, and you will be informed before any bond deduction or additional charge is made.

If items are not returned due to theft, loss, or irreparable damage, the hirer will be liable for:
The full retail replacement value, and Up to $1,000 per item for loss of future bookings if replacements are delayed.

11. Weather Conditions

Most of our hire items are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. However:
Items must not be left exposed to rain or damp unless explicitly stated as weather-resistant. Damage from water, mud, or moisture will result in repair or replacement charges.

12. Changes & Updates

Morepork BBQ reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply to your hire agreement.
